Effects
- Teleports Isaac to the starting room of the current floor.
Notes
- If the room teleported out of was hostile, it will be reset.
- Previously cleared rooms do not reset.
A 0 - The Fool is guaranteed to appear on
Depths /
Necropolis /
Dank Depths II in a marked skull after unlocking
A Strange Door.
- When
Curse of the Maze is active, using this card can teleport Isaac to a random room instead.
Strategy
- 0 - The Fool is the only teleportation card that guarantees a teleportation to a safe room:
IX - The Hermit may teleport Isaac to a
Greed fight.
XVII - The Stars /
XVIII - The Moon may teleport Isaac to a
Treasure Room /
Secret Room containing enemies.
Joker may teleport Isaac to a
Devil Room with enemies or a
Krampus fight.
- 0 - The Fool can be used to escape any room that locks down after taking its contents, like
Challenge Rooms or
Boss Rush, effectively "stealing" its contents without facing the imposed challenge.
- 0 - The Fool can be used to escape any boss fight to recover on the current floor.
Using 0 - The Fool during the ascent can entirely skip a floor, as the light beam is located in the starting room.

Trivia
0 - The Fool is the only teleportation card available in Greed mode.
Two other cards are available in greed mode :
XVII - The Stars and
Joker.
- The Fool is considered a special trump card, being the last or the first of a Major Arcana set, hence the number 0, or no number at all being attributed to it.
