Dank Depths
The Dank Depths is one of the environments in chapter 3 added in The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth. The theme of the Dank Depths is tar, which can be found dripping from the ceiling and bubbling in pits. Rocks have a chance to be replaced with spikes.
The Dank Depths' alternate floors are the Depths and Necropolis. The boss of the Dank Depths II is always Mom.
After A Secret Exit is unlocked, a door will appear in Dank Depths I's Boss Room upon defeating the boss, leading to the Mausoleum / Gehenna. This door requires two hearts to be opened (except on Lost characters). Unlike Angel Rooms and Devil Rooms, this door never disappears. Also after this achievement is unlocked, a Strange Door in the starting room of Dank Depths II will appear. This door leads to Mausoleum / Gehenna II before entering the Ascent.
The Dank Depths are unlocked by defeating It Lives 21 times.
