D infinity is an unlockable activated item added in The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth †.

Effect

  • (except in Repentance and Repentance+) Upon use, grants a random dice item that transforms into a different random die item.
    • Each die item has a 2 room charge.
    • D Infinity is able to use all the available effects, regardless of whether the individual die mimicked by this item has been unlocked prior or not.
  • (in Repentance and Repentance+) Upon use, acts as any die item except for Collectible Spindown Dice icon.pngSpindown Dice, and can be cycled through by pressing the drop key.
    • Charge time varies based on the current die, and updates when used.
      • Collectible D1 icon.pngD1 has a charge of 4 rooms.
      • Collectible D4 icon.pngD4 has a charge of 6 rooms.
      • Collectible The D6 icon.pngThe D6 has a charge of 6 rooms.
      • Collectible Eternal D6 icon.pngEternal D6 has a charge of 2 rooms.

Notes

  • The icon of the D infinity will change to resemble the corresponding die while being held. Putting it back on a pedestal will change its icon back to normal.
  • (in Repentance and Repentance+) When in possession of more than one active item with the Collectible Schoolbag icon.pngSchoolbag, all dice must be cycled through before the other active item can be used.
    • (in Repentance and Repentance+) When playing as Character Tainted Isaac icon.pngTainted Isaac and holding D Infinity as well as another active item via Collectible Schoolbag icon.pngSchoolbag, if Collectible Schoolbag icon.pngSchoolbag is replaced by another passive item in its slot while the other active item is held, Collectible D infinity icon.pngD infinity will be dropped on the ground, reset to its original state. This could allow the player to use any dice item with only a 2-pip charge.
  • This item can be crafted from (in Repentance and Repentance+)Collectible Bag of Crafting icon.pngBag of Crafting with eight Dice ShardDice Shards.

Synergies

  • (in Repentance and Repentance+)Collectible Book of Virtues icon.pngBook of Virtues: Spawns a normal wisp in addition to having an extra effect based on the current die selected.
