Corrupted Data

Corrupted Data is an achievement and a permanent effect on the save file it is unlocked for.

Effect

• Secret Rooms and I AM ERROR rooms now have a chance of generating glitch items, as if caused by TMTRAINER. The chances in Secret Rooms are 1/60 and 1/16 in I AM ERROR rooms.
  • If affected by Curse of the Blind, the items that were corrupted are revealed upon first entering the room. Leaving the room and returning will render them hidden again.

Trivia

• Corrupted Data is one of the few unlocks for any character that isn't either an Item, Pickup, Character, or Baby, along with Charming Poop, Fool's Gold Rocks, Super Special Rocks, Crane Game, Hell Game, Rotten Beggars and Confessionals.
  • While most unlocks that change gameplay is unlocked by defeating Mega Satan as a Tainted character, Corrupted Data is unlocked by defeating Delirium.

• This unlock is a reference to a bug in computer coding with the same name, which is caused by parts of code being scrambled or missing which often makes the code almost or completely unusable.
