Corrupted Data is an achievement and a permanent effect on the save file it is unlocked for.
Effect
Secret Rooms and 
I AM ERROR rooms now have a chance of generating glitch items, as if caused by 
TMTRAINER. The chances in Secret Rooms are 1/60 and 1/16 in I AM ERROR rooms.
- This chance applies only to items that are part of the room layout. Items generated later or rerolled do not have a chance to become glitched.
- If affected by
Curse of the Blind, the items that were corrupted are revealed upon first entering the room. Leaving the room and returning will render them hidden again.

- Corrupted Data is one of the few unlocks for any character that isn't either an Item, Pickup, Character, or Baby, along with
Charming Poop, Fool's Gold Rocks, Super special rocks, 
Crane Game, 
Hell Game, 
Rotten Beggars and 
Confessionals.
- While most unlocks that change gameplay is unlocked by defeating Mega Satan as a Tainted character, Corrupted Data is unlocked by defeating Delirium.
- Corrupted data refers to errors in computer data that occur during its modification, which introduce unintended changes to the original data. In the case of image data, the result of corruption often makes it garbled, comparable to the glitched items.
