Zodiac is an unlockable passive item added in The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth.

Effects

  • Gives Isaac a random Zodiac item effect that changes each floor.

Notes

  • Getting CapricornCapricorn, CancerCancer and LibraLibra does not grant Penny.pngCoins, Bomb.pngBombs, Key.pngKeys or Soul Heart.pngSoul Hearts.
  • (except in Repentance and Repentance+) Getting LeoLeo will not change Isaac's size.
  • (in Repentance and Repentance+) CapricornCapricorn and PiscesPisces grant +1.0 fire rate instead of their usual +0.5.
  • If already in possession of the item given by Zodiac, most have no effect.
    • The exceptions are CapricornCapricorn giving an additional +0.5 damage, and GeminiGemini giving another familiar.
    • (in Repentance and Repentance+) Capricorn and Pisces will also grant +1.0 fire rate on top of the normal +0.5.

  • This item's appearance is a reference to the Zodiac Killer, who used the symbol as his signature.
  • (except in Repentance and Repentance+) This item's icon shares the same icon as MarkedMarked but white instead of red. Character Isaac icon.pngIsaac's sprite is also the same as Marked but black instead of red.
