Just as an interesting note, you aren't COMPLETELY devoid of tears.

Most tear-based familiars are no-shows in this challenge, even in devil rooms, which is kind of to be expected.

However, you can still get a tear-shooting familiar by smacking down two or three of the Horsemen and collecting the Cubes of Meat or Balls of Bandages.

Also, if you have unlocked the boss Steven, you can still find him, and obtain the Little Steven familiar.

Rotten Baby is an amazing item for this challenge. Spews a new fly when the old one dies that homes in on enemies and does double your tear damage. It's unfortunately a devil room item.

Normal Brimstone may be ineffective, but obtaining Lil' Brimstone from a Devil Room will be very much worth your while.
