I confirmed what the main page says. In my case I got +1.51 damage

Taking the boss's item affected by satanic bible will not remove the redemption effect

Sacrifice Room

Just had Redemption spawn on the 7th sacrifice (The one where you normally get an angel item or soul heart), so that would seem to be another way to obtain it outside of the Confessional.

Any details missing on how to acquire this item, or potential glitch in 1.7.6?

I've been trying for hours to collect this item. I have the item unlocked, have fulfilled the requirements to make it drop (take Devil Deal, don't pick up Contrition), but on the Sacrifice Room attempts I've made that came out with an item that SHOULD'VE been Redemption, I've only ever been given Angel Room items. I've tried this some... seven times or more, at least three in one run, and it's starting to feel like something isn't right. I'm getting told it should work, but the only source I've had telling me "this works" used a console command to make it happen, so I'm hoping someone on the Wiki here can help with investigating if the item's got any issues.

EDIT: I got it to drop using the same method as before but with another character - got it as Forgotten's Soul after taking a deal on Dank Depths 2 and warped out of the Mom arena. My guess is Magdalene is bugged with aquiring this item, or else the item has a drop-chance that isn't mentioned.
