Read the planetarium article and the details on generation chance, that's all I can tell you; bonus does not directly equal the chance of getting one. Accepted proof about it not working would be a decompilation that points out the flaw, because we've gotten this info from decompiled code and there is little reason to disbelieve literal game code. --Frionil (talk) 12:20, 13 June 2021 (UTC)

how to test that it doesnt work

1. give self crystal ball

2. skip item rooms

3. see what floor planetarium is on

4. do same thing but give 8 ball instead

5. planetarium generates on the same floor.

So you're saying because a planetarium generated with a lower bonus means the higher bonus isn't valid? I don't understand what this even means. Also immediately disproven: seed ALFQ X366, give items the mind and black candle and crystal ball; stage 3 has a planetarium. Restart same seed, give the items the mind, black candle and magic 8 ball, stage 3 does not have a planetarium. --Frionil (talk) 16:24, 16 June 2021 (UTC)
