The Swarm is an unlockable passive item added in The Binding of Isaac: Repentance.

Effects

  • Gives eight orbital flies when picked up.
  • Each time a fly blocks a projectile, it will turn into a blue fly.
  • Each time a room is cleared, spawns an orbital fly.
    • The maximum number of orbital flies Isaac can have is 16.
  • This item belongs to the BeelzebubBeelzebub set. Collecting three items from this set will transform Isaac into a giant humanoid fly.

Bugs

Bug Bug! Each use of Glowing HourglassGlowing Hourglass that does not move Isaac to a different room from the one he is currently in (such as by teleporting to the previous room then using it again) will duplicate orbital flies. Obtaining orbital flies by duplicating them can surpass the item's normal orbital limit.
