Pandora's Box is an unlockable activated item.
Effects
- Upon use, spawns specific pickups or items depending on the floor it is used on. Disappears after use.

- Floors affected by
Curse of the Labyrinth are counted as the first floor by Pandora's Box. 
When playing Greed Mode, the normal Devil Room item pool is still used in Sheol, instead of the Greed Mode Devil Room item pool.
In Greed Mode, it will always generate its 2nd floor drops for each Chapter that is before the 
Womb, such as 20 pennies in the 
Depths, etc.
- The Womb is the exception, generating its 1st floor drop: 2 Boss Room items.
- The
Ascent floors give the rewards of their regular floors.

Book of Virtues: Spawns floor - 1regular wisps with no unique effect, up to a maximum of 8. No wisps are spawned on the first floor.
Strange Key: Instead of its normal effect, Pandora's Box spawns six items from a set of item pools. Both items are consumed.
- This will prevent unlocking
Moving Box if it hasn't already been unlocked, when used in 
Dark Room.
- This will prevent unlocking
Interactions
Car Battery: No effect.
? Card:
Will consume both the card and Pandora's Box, but nothing will happen, wasting both of them.- Will activate Pandora's Box without consuming it, allowing for multiple activations.
- If Isaac is holding Strange Key, using the ? Card will consume the card and trinket, spawning 6 items, but Pandora's Box will not be consumed.

Trivia
- In Greek legend, Pandora's Box is a jar containing all of the evils of the world. It was given to the first woman created, who, in her curiosity, opened it, releasing every evil unto the land. Once the evils were released, the only thing that remained was Elpis, the Spirit of Hope.
- Pandora's Box, along with Strange Key, is likely a reference to David Lynch's 2001 film Mulholland Drive.
- The rewards for Greed Mode changed in patch v1.06.J168; the rewards given in
Caves are instead given in 
Basement, and so on. - Despite Pandora’s Box’s sprite depicting a keylock, the item does not require a key to open.
- In the game files,
Pandora's Box's sprite is named Blue Box while 
Box of Friends' sprite is named Pandora’s Box.
