Mr. Boom is an activated item.

Effects

  • Places a large Bomb.pngBomb similar to ones produced by Mr. MegaMr. Mega.
    • (except in Repentance and Repentance+) Deals 110 damage.
    • (in Repentance and Repentance+) Deals 185 damage.
    • Despite slightly different appearance, the bomb is functionally identical to a Mr. Mega bomb, being compatible with all bomb modifiers.

Notes

  • This item can drop from killing Wrath.pngWrath. (except in Repentance and Repentance+) Wrath can drop this item even if Isaac has already encountered/possessed it.
  • (in Repentance) This item can be crafted by Bag of CraftingBag of Crafting with eight Bomb.pngBombs.

Synergies

  • (in Repentance and Repentance+) Book of VirtuesBook of Virtues: Spawns wisps in the middle ring, looking like bombs. The wisps spawn miniature homing bombs when destroyed. These miniature bombs behave the same as ones created by Scatter BombsScatter Bombs, with the exception that they deal 100 blast damage instead of 50.
  • Remote DetonatorRemote Detonator + (except in Rebirth and Afterbirth) SchoolbagSchoolbag: The Mr. Boom bomb is affected by remote detonator.

Interactions

  • (except in Rebirth) Blasting CapBlasting Cap: Mr. Boom bombs can drop extra bomb pickups.
  • Mr. MegaMr. Mega: No further improvement in damage or blast radius.

Trivia

  • When used, the sprite of Mr. Boom appears to have a missing tooth, but the pedestal sprite and official artwork from Four Souls shows it has a perfect set of teeth.
