Fate's Reward is an unlockable passive item added in The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth.

Effects

  • Spawns a familiar that fires tears with the same damage and tear effects as Isaac's tears.
  • Fires at half the normal fire rate of a familiar.
  • The familiar is not affected by (except in Repentance and Repentance+) range/(in Repentance and Repentance+) tear height; only tear falling speed.
    • (in Repentance and Repentance+) Since increasing tear height and shot speed lowers tear falling speed in order to adjust Isaac's range, increases to either stat will decrease the familiar's range, and decreases to either stat will increase the familiar's range.

Notes

  • (in Repentance and Repentance+) Familiars that follow behind Isaac have a certain priority in how close their position is to him over other familiars, with Fate's Reward having (except in Repentance+) 5th / (in Repentance+) 7th priority.
