Expansion Pack is an unlockable trinket added in The Binding of Isaac: Repentance.
Effects
- Upon use of an activated item, activates the effect of another random activated item.
- The random effect is any activated item with a charge time of 1 or 2 rooms (with the exception of
Metronome, 
D infinity, and 
Esau Jr..) View the page on activated items for a complete list. - Timed-recharge and infinite-use items trigger the effect once per room. Re-entering the room will allow Expansion Pack to trigger again.

Notes
- Effects from one-time-use, timed-recharge, and infinite-use items will not be produced by Expansion Pack.
Dead Sea Scrolls qualifies for Expansion Pack as its charge time is 2 rooms. This may result in activations of items not normally selectable by Expansion Pack.- If Expansion Pack uses an item that requires Isaac to shoot to activate it (like
Bob's Rotten Head or 
Shoop da Whoop!), using it will be counted as another item use and activate Expansion Pack an additional time.
Synergies
Golden Trinket / 
Mom's Box: Having either activates the effect of another random 1 or 2 charge active item. Having both activates 2 another random 1 or 2 charge and 1 random 3 charge active item.
Tips
- If Isaac has an active item that recharges over time and doesn't require resources to use, Expansion Pack can be used indefinitely to repeatedly activate certain effects. Effects tied to Dead Sea Scrolls specifically will be noted with *asterisks*:

- The health gain can be negated by Teleport! teleporting Isaac into the
Curse Room (if one is present on the floor) or *

Monstro land on Isaac (if he stands still).
- The health gain can be negated by
Eternal D6: Allows Isaac to reroll items.
- If Isaac's active item requires resources to use or doesn't recharge over time, its best use with Expansion Pack is during combat in a manner similar to
Bombs, due to the prevalence of explosives and effects that can damage enemies in the pool of effects Expansion Pack can pull from.
