Duct Tape is a trinket added in The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth †.

Effects

Familiars that are bound to Isaac's movement will be stuck in place relative to his position.
- This includes orbital familiars, shooting familiars and mimicking familiars.

Notes

Familiars are stopped in the exact position they are when Duct Tape is picked up. Position of familiars can be changed by dropping Duct Tape and picking it up again.
Blue Flies and familiars the attack nearby enemies such as Gemini will be stuck, but will still target enemies as usual if within range.
Throwable familiars such as Little Chubby will still charge forward and will also return to the same spot each time.

Interactions

Ball of Bandages / Cube of Meat: No effect at level 3 and 4.
Dry Baby / Farting Baby: If properly positioned, it can greatly protect Isaac from projectiles.
- This same technique can be used with Lilith to shoot with more accuracy.
Friendship Necklace + Spin to Win: Familiars affected by Friendship Necklace are still considered orbitals regardless of positioning allowing Isaac to use their contact damage without getting close to enemies. Duct Tape also prevents familiars that weren't already orbitals from flashing when Spin to Win is used despite still being affected by the active item.
Multidimensional Baby: If properly positioned, Isaac's tears will always be doubled.
