A Lighter is a trinket added in The Binding of Isaac: Repentance.

Effects

  • Has a chance to inflict burning on enemies upon entering a new room.
    • The chance to inflict burning increases with luck. It goes up to 100% at 40 luck.
    • The burn inflicted by Lighter deals Isaac's damage per tick, up to 5 times.

Synergies

  • (in Repentance+) TickTick: Tick can be removed by picking up A Lighter.

Trivia

  • This trinket is from the Antibirth mod where it was called Lighter. In Antibirth the trinket would make all farts explode harming both enemies and Isaac alike.
  • The description is likely a reference to Alfred's line in The Dark Knight "Some men just want to watch the world burn."
