Effects

• Doubles Isaac's Red Hearts.
• If Isaac only has empty Red Heart containers, he is healed for 1 Red Heart.

Notes

• 2 of Hearts doesn't add new Red Heart containers, just fills empty ones. Nor does it double any other types of health.

Strategy

• 2 of Hearts can be used to significantly increase the use of Sacrifice Rooms / Blood Donation Machines / Devil Beggars and any other health-draining object. The more heart containers, the more free hearts can be obtained form one use of the card.

Synergies

• Tarot Cloth: Quadruples Isaac's red hearts.
• Tainted Bethany: Doubles her Blood Charges.

Interactions

• Tarot Cloth: No effect.
• It's the Key: Acquiring red hearts with 2 of Hearts does not invalidate the achievement condition.
• Bone Heart: Bone hearts are also filled by doubling health.
• Rotten Heart: If only a rotten heart is the only heart filling the otherwise empty heart containers, heals one heart.
  • If there are red hearts and rotten hearts, the rotten heart is counted as a full red heart for doubling.
