Effects

• Doubles Isaac's pennies.
• If Isaac has no pennies, gives 2 pennies instead.

Strategy

• The penny counter cannot exceed 99, so the most optimal time to use 2 of Diamonds is when Isaac has 49 or 50 pennies.
• 2 of Diamonds is an excellent way of filling up the Greed Donation Machine:
  • It can be used if Isaac has few coins left after defeating Ultra Greed.
  • If Isaac has many coins, they can be donated until 49 or 50 coins are left and then doubled for a total of donated coins exceeding 99 coins.

Synergies

• Tarot Cloth: Quadruples Isaac's pennies.
• Deep Pockets: Allows for enormous wealth to be accumulated, as the coin limit is increased to 999.
• Keeper / Tainted Keeper: Can refill coin health at the cost of 1 coin after doubling.

Interactions

• Tarot Cloth: No effect.
• It's the Key: Acquiring pennies with 2 of Diamonds does not invalidate the achievement condition.
